According to Financial Times, Australia has become one of China's fastest-growing battery export markets as it transitions toward renewable energy. In March, the country's new battery installations accounted for nearly 10% of global capacity, with an average of approximately 2,000 residential battery systems installed daily throughout 2026 so far. Australia is now the world's third-largest battery importer after Germany and the United States, according to Rystad Energy. The nation's per-capita energy storage capacity has exceeded 2 gigawatt-hours (GWh).
