Beijing Plans Token Economy Development, Targets 50,000P Computing Power Addition in H2 2026

According to Beijing's Information Technology and Economics Bureau, announced on July 21, the city will formulate Token economy development policies and establish Token factories and distribution platforms to drive innovation in industrial, educational, and cultural tourism sectors. The bureau aims to add 50,000P of computing power in the second half of 2026, bringing total computing capacity to 130,000P by year-end. In the first half of 2026, Beijing's digital economy output grew 7.8% year-over-year, with core digital industries expanding 9.8%.
