Chinese Yuan Weakens Against Dollar; USD/CNY Mid-Price Hits 6.8077 on July 8

According to the interbank foreign exchange market, the Chinese yuan weakened against the U.S. dollar on July 8, 2026, with the USD/CNY mid-price reported at 6.8077, up 23 basis points. The euro weakened 142 points to 7.7614, while sterling fell 178 points to 9.0859. The Australian dollar declined 123 points to 4.7142, the Canadian dollar rose 102 points to 4.7916, and the Swiss franc fell 270 points to 8.4160 against the yuan.
