According to a KB Securities report, the U.S. Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) processed its first tokenized securities transaction on July 15, marking a shift from technical proof-of-concept to production use. The transaction involved tokenizing stocks (Microsoft and Circle), the Invesco QQQ ETF, SPDR S&P 500 ETF, and U.S. Treasury securities, with over 30 participants including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, BNP Paribas, and Nasdaq.

Participants executed 12 or more transactions using the tokenized assets, including collateral pledges, securities lending, repurchase agreements, and delivery-versus-payment settlements. DTCC plans to formally launch the service in October and will gradually expand participating institutions and eligible assets.
