Ebola Cases in DRC Exceed 2,000 as Virus Spreads to Haut-Uélé Province

According to the Democratic Republic of Congo's National Institute of Public Health, confirmed Ebola cases reached 2,011 as of July 13, with 754 deaths recorded. The outbreak, caused by the Bundibugyo ebolavirus, has spread to four health zones in Haut-Uélé Province, marking a significant geographic expansion. The latest update includes 54 new confirmed cases, with most occurring in the epicenter of Ituri Province; Haut-Uélé reported 7 new cases.
