ESMA Urges Unauthorized Crypto Platforms to Halt EU Operations by July 1 as MiCA Transition Ends

According to Foresight News reporting on the European Securities and Markets Authority's (ESMA) public statement, the regulator is calling on unauthorized crypto asset service providers (CASPs) to take measures for an orderly wind-down of their EU operations by July 1, 2026, when the MiCA transition period ends. ESMA urged such providers to stop accepting new EU customers and cease offering services including the sale or transfer of crypto assets.
