Former WA Director Pleads Guilty to A$1.5M Forex Fraud Scheme

According to ASIC's 29 June 2026 media release, former Western Australia company director Trent Bowden pleaded guilty on 26 June to three criminal charges under the Corporations Act after raising more than A$1.5 million from investors for forex trading but using the funds for personal expenses and payments to other investors instead. Each offence carries a maximum penalty of 15 years' imprisonment, and the case will return to Perth District Court on 21 August 2026 for sentencing.
