German Industry Groups Criticize U.S. Tariff Policy on July 24

According to Jin10, German industry groups including the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the German Wholesale and Foreign Trade Association criticized U.S. tariff measures on July 24 for increasing business uncertainty. Trade official Volker Treier stated that frequent policy shifts add administrative burden and legal risk, undermining stable operating conditions. The groups called for cancellation of tariffs that violate World Trade Organization rules, particularly additional duties on steel and aluminum products currently in effect.
