Google Gemini Co-Lead Noam Shazeer Joins OpenAI

According to PANews, on June 18, Noam Shazeer, Google's vice president of engineering and co-lead of the Gemini AI model, announced his departure from the company to join OpenAI. In a statement on X, Shazeer said: "I am delighted to announce that I will be joining OpenAI and look forward to working with the great team there. Leaving Google was a difficult decision. I am incredibly proud of everything we have built together at Google."
