According to Jin10 and the U.S. National Weather Service, a heat dome phenomenon expected to blanket the U.S. Midwest and Eastern regions this week (starting July 2) will bring extreme heat to several cities. Parts of Kansas City and Missouri are forecast to experience sustained humid conditions through the evening of July 3, with heat index temperatures ranging from 40.6 to 43.3 degrees Celsius.
