Hong Kong's main indices all rose on July 23, with the Hang Seng Index gaining 1.28% or 318.15 points to close at 25,210.81, on total turnover of HK$234.38 billion. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 1.23% to 8,352.67, while the Hang Seng Tech Index gained 0.65% to 4,698.48.
Lithium mining stocks led gains, with Ganfeng Lithium up 9.88% to HK$40.50 and Tianqi Lithium rising 6.96% to HK$34.42, following positive earnings forecasts. Power equipment stocks also advanced on policy support, as China's National Development and Reform Commission and National Energy Administration released the renewable energy development plan for the 15th Five-Year period, targeting approximately 100 million kilowatts of new offshore wind capacity.
