Hyosung Heavy Industries, STT GDC Open 30MW Seoul Data Center on June 16

According to Chosun Daily, Hyosung Heavy Industries and Singapore-based ST Telemedia Global Data Centres opened a 30MW data center in Seoul on June 16. The facility, STT Seoul 1, is located in Gasan Digital Complex and spans approximately 40,000 square meters. It marks STT GDC's first South Korea presence and Hyosung's entry into data center infrastructure for AI and cloud services. The carrier-neutral facility serves hyperscale and enterprise customers.

South Korea's data center market is projected to expand from US$5.04 billion in 2025 to US$16.23 billion by 2031, driven by rising AI and cloud computing demand.
