According to BlockBeats and Hyperinsight monitoring, a major WTIOIL long whale (0x007d) on Hyperliquid was liquidated twice within approximately 1 hour on July 1, resulting in cumulative liquidations of 180,000 contracts at an average price of $68.35, with a loss of approximately $3.46 million. The whale held a 20x leveraged long position with an entry price of $87.59. The largest liquidation cleared 144,000 contracts for a $2.77 million loss, following an initial partial liquidation of 36,000 contracts for $0.69 million. The liquidation level was set near WTI crude oil's price before the February 28 U.S.-Iran conflict, when the price stood at approximately $68.50; oil subsequently surged to around $118 amid geopolitical tensions before retreating to current levels near $68.80, fully erasing the conflict-driven rally.
