IC3 Researchers Say Crypto Has Limited Utility for Solving AI Trust and Payment Issues

According to a study published Monday by the Initiative for CryptoCurrencies and Contracts (IC3), cryptocurrency's ability to address artificial intelligence's key challenges is often overstated. Researchers clarified that giving AI agents access to crypto wallets does not make them more intelligent or autonomous; it merely enables automation. "AI systems do not become more intelligent by possessing a wallet," the IC3 team said, noting that blockchain technology's role in content verification and addressing algorithmic bias is also limited.
