According to iM Securities on July 9, the South Korean brokerage firm issued hybrid capital securities worth 150 billion won to boost capital strength and support future growth. The firm launched two types of 30-year private placement hybrid securities at 60 billion won and 90 billion won respectively, carrying annual interest rates of 5.90% and 5.68%.
After the capital increase, iM Securities' equity capital will rise to approximately 1.29 trillion won, while its net capital ratio (NCR) will jump 98 percentage points to 478%, significantly improving its capital adequacy metrics.
