According to Xinhua, the International Maritime Organization Secretary-General António Manuel Dominguez strongly condemned a U.S. military attack on an oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz on June 10, which resulted in a fire and three sailors going missing. The organization issued a statement on the same day, describing the incident as "completely unacceptable" and emphasizing that any action endangering seafarers' lives and international shipping safety cannot be tolerated. The attacked vessel, flying the Palauan flag, was struck by projectiles in the Gulf of Oman.
