London Metal Exchange aluminum prices rose 0.8% to $3,115.50 per ton recently, rebounding from near four-month lows despite Goldman Sachs' warning of accelerating supply recovery from Middle Eastern smelters. According to Wú Kūnjīn, head of base metals research at Minmetals Futures Co., the rally was supported by Chinese capital inflows into metals equities and futures, as investors bet on strong H1 earnings from producers.
