According to Anthropic's latest report analyzing 400,000 conversations, non-programmers using Claude Code achieved success rates within 7% of professional software engineers, with domain knowledge and management skills emerging as key success factors over programming expertise. Claude Code users averaged 20 hours of weekly active usage. Over a seven-month period, debugging sessions declined from 33% to 19% of all conversations, while code deployment, data analysis, and documentation tasks doubled, with average estimated task value increasing by 25%.
