U.S. and Iran to Sign Peace Deal Friday in Switzerland with Pakistan, Qatar Present; Swiss to Deploy 2,000 Troops

According to Bloomberg, the U.S. and Iran plan to sign a temporary peace agreement on Friday (June 20) at Burgenstock hotel complex in Switzerland, with representatives from Pakistan and Qatar also attending, according to a Swiss government statement on Wednesday. The agreement comprises 14 points of understanding aimed at ending hostile actions and resolving obstruction in the Strait of Hormuz.

To ensure security, Switzerland has agreed to deploy up to 2,000 troops and will impose restrictions on relevant airspace.
