Oman, Iran Foreign Ministers Hold Call on Strait of Hormuz Security on June 16

According to CCTV, Oman's Foreign Minister Badr and Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi held a phone call on June 16 to discuss maritime security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to complying with international law regarding sea traffic safety and free passage in the waterway.

The officials expressed hopes for continued positive and pragmatic efforts to promote constructive diplomatic processes and jointly maintain regional security and stability. They also emphasized deepening bilateral cooperation across all sectors based on neighborly and friendly principles.
