Project Eleven Launches Zero-Knowledge System for Bitcoin Quantum-Vulnerable Recovery

BTC-0.23%
According to ChainCatcher, Project Eleven has unveiled a zero-knowledge proof system designed to recover quantum-vulnerable bitcoins covered under BIP-361, including holdings associated with Satoshi Nakamoto. The protocol leverages the distinction between quantum computers' ability to break elliptic curve signatures and their inability to break modern one-way hashes used in wallet key derivation, allowing true owners with seed material to prove control. Project Eleven's prototype demonstrates significantly faster performance than prior approaches, though it remains unaudited and incomplete, and would require controversial modifications to blockchain rules for deployment.
