Securitize Files Lawsuit Seeking Declaratory Judgment Against tZERO's Tokenization Patent Claims on June 23

According to The Block, on June 23, Securitize filed a lawsuit in Delaware federal court seeking a declaratory judgment that it does not infringe two tokenization-related patents held by digital securities infrastructure company tZERO. The dispute stems from a cease-and-desist letter tZERO sent to Securitize, alleging that its DS Protocol and Vault Registrar products infringe patents covering self-executing security tokens and cryptographic infrastructure.

In its court filing, Securitize called tZERO's allegations "baseless," arguing its products lack key elements covered by tZERO's patents, including transaction execution and signature functionality. Securitize requested the court issue a non-infringement declaration and bar tZERO from pursuing further patent litigation against it.
