South Korean Government Bond Futures Rise Overnight as U.S. Inflation Concerns Ease

According to Yonhapinfomax, Seoul government bond futures rose on July 16 evening trading as U.S. inflation concerns eased. The 3-year bond futures contract closed at 102.88, up 7 ticks from the previous trading day's close, while the 10-year contract gained 18 ticks to 105.35. Foreign investors net-sold 85 contracts for the 3-year futures, while financial investment firms net-bought 88 contracts. U.S. Treasury yields declined across the curve, with the 10-year yield down 4.20 basis points and the 2-year yield down 6.10 basis points from the prior New York session close, following softer-than-expected U.S. producer price data.
