According to The Block, Paradigm-backed protocol Symbiotic has launched Symbiotic Core V2, transitioning from a restaking protocol to a shared collateral infrastructure for DeFi applications. The new version enables insurance, credit, and RWA use cases to share a single collateral pool, with each vault independently configuring risk parameters, asset types, and liquidation terms enforced on-chain. Idle capital automatically routes to lending protocols like Aave and Morpho for yield generation, and is recalled when needed.
Liquid Lane, the first product built on Core V2, is used for RWA instant settlement supporting tokenized asset redemption; Nexus Mutual plans to deploy it for reinsurance capacity, and Cap for institutional credit guarantees. Symbiotic previously raised approximately $29 million in Series A and $5.8 million in seed funding.
