Tether Retains 100% of 3%-4% Yields From User Dollar Deposits, Co-Founder Says

According to Tether co-founder Reeve Collins on June 20, Tether retains all yields generated from investing users' dollar deposits in U.S. Treasury securities (currently yielding 3%-4%), while users receive no returns on their assets despite gaining access to fast, global dollar liquidity.

Collins stated this centralized yield capture structure is what stablecoins 2.0 must reform, as the current model has let Tether dominate the market while concentrating profits entirely within the platform.
