UK Transport Minister Urges PM Starmer to Set Exit Timeline, June 19

According to the Financial Times on June 19, UK Transport Minister Heidi Alexander urged Prime Minister Keir Starmer to establish a timetable for his departure. The minister told Starmer that he should step down voluntarily to ensure a smooth transition to new leadership in the interests of the country and the Labour Party, government sources said.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmoud has previously called on Starmer to confirm his exit date as well.
