US 10-Year Treasury Yields Rise to 4.560% on July 8 as Trump Ends Iran Talks

According to YNA, US 10-year Treasury yields rose to 4.560% on July 8, up 3.10 basis points from the previous close, after President Trump indicated the Iran memorandum of understanding has ended. The 2-year yield climbed 2.70bp to 4.189%, while the 30-year yield increased 2.00bp to 5.063%.

Trump's stance reflects escalating tensions as Iran continues threatening commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz despite the prior negotiations. The Joint Maritime Information Center, operated by a 47-nation naval coalition, upgraded the maritime threat level from "considerable" to "severe" after three merchant ships were hit during a 24-hour period.
