USD/JPY Rises 0.05% to 160.41 on June 16 as BOJ Prepares Rate Hike

On Tuesday (June 16), as the Bank of Japan was set to announce a rate hike to its highest level since 1995, the USD/JPY exchange rate rose 0.05% to 160.41, trading in a range of 160.05-160.46 for the session. The pair dipped to a daily low around 11:08 AM Beijing time, shortly before the BOJ's 11:19 AM rate announcement, then extended gains afterward.

EUR/JPY advanced 0.23% to 186.27, while GBP/JPY climbed 0.17% to 215.438.
