According to CertiK's Hack3D report released today, Web3 experienced 344 security incidents in the first half of 2026 with cumulative losses of approximately $1.32 billion. Wallet theft emerged as the largest attack vector, accounting for about $450 million in losses. Two major incidents—Kelp DAO and Drift Protocol—combined for $577 million in losses, representing 44% of the total. The report notes that while phishing attack frequency declined over 50%, losses from phishing decreased only 10.8%, indicating attackers are increasingly targeting high-value individuals and institutions with more sophisticated attacks.
