Wise Resubmits U.S. National Trust Bank Charter Application Under GENIUS Act Framework

According to The Block, payment company Wise plans to resubmit its U.S. national trust bank charter application under the GENIUS Act stablecoin regulatory framework. The U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) previously rejected Wise's original application, citing incompatibility with the Federal Reserve's new policy on payment system Master Account access, as stated in an OCC letter on July 21.
