Odaily Planet Daily News - JPMorgan Chase indicated that the cryptocurrency market’s previous “de-risking” process may be nearing completion, with fund flows in Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs showing stabilization signals.

The analysis team led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase, pointed out in their latest report that although BTC and ETH ETFs experienced fund outflows in December 2025, global equity ETFs recorded a historic monthly net inflow of $235 billion during the same period. However, entering January 2026, multiple indicators began to improve.

The report stated that Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF fund flows have shown “signs of bottoming,” while positions in perpetual contracts and CME Bitcoin futures indicate that selling pressure is easing. Analysts believe that during Q4 2025, the phase of synchronized position reduction by both retail and institutional investors has likely ended.

Additionally, JPMorgan Chase noted that MSCI decided in its February 2026 index review to temporarily refrain from excluding Bitcoin and crypto asset reserve companies from global stock indices, providing the market with “at least temporary relief,” benefiting companies including MicroStrategy.

The report also refuted the notion that recent cryptocurrency market corrections were caused by liquidity deterioration. JPMorgan Chase believes the true trigger was MSCI’s statement on October 10 regarding MicroStrategy’s index status, which sparked systematic de-risking operations. Current signs indicate this process has essentially been completed.
