Security researcher Jeremiah Fowler revealed a leaked Infostealer dataset containing approximately 149 million records, including around 420,000 Binance login credentials collected from infected user devices. This data also includes login information for many other popular services such as Gmail, Facebook, Instagram, and Netflix.

Experts emphasize that this is not a Binance system breach, but rather the result of user devices being infected with information-stealing malware. Infostealers typically spread through malicious software, fake utilities, or unsafe downloads, then silently collect login credentials, session cookies, and other sensitive data.

In response, Binance stated that it will monitor underground forums for leaked data, proactively notify affected users, and require password resets. The platform also recommends users enable multi-factor authentication with hardware devices, install antivirus software, and strengthen account security layers to minimize the risk of theft.
