Since the launch of the U.S. Bitcoin Spot ETF, Grayscale GBTC's Bitcoin holdings have decreased by 50%
According to The Block, Grayscale's GBTC Bitcoin holdings have halved in about three months since the launch of the U.S. Spot Bitcoin-traded exchange-traded fund on January 11.
At the beginning of Bitcoin Spot ETF trading, GBTC held approximately 619,220 Bitcoin. GBTC's Bitcoin holdings then fell by about 50% to around 311,621, according to information disclosed as of Monday, and the fees it charges are longer higher than those of its competitors. For example, GBTC charges a 1.5% fee, while BlackRock's IBIT currently charges 0.12%.
