The collision of permissionless blockchain and artificial intelligence is expected to create investment opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence agents.

The rapid rise of artificial intelligence agents and their related tokens has sparked a lot of early excitement and skepticism. The viral growth of this industry has brought incredible returns to early investors. While these newly launched opportunities themselves come with risks, the immense prospects of this industry are worth careful consideration.

To better understand the opportunities for agency investment, I invited Bankless AI Rollup co-hosts David Hoffman and Ejaaz Ahamadeen to introduce their top investments in this emerging field.

Here are the 10 tokens they consider most worth paying attention to.

Goatseus Maximus

Token: GOAT

Market Cap: $6.85 billion

In March 2024, Andy Ayrey let two artificial intelligence models interact with each other in a project called ‘Infinite Backrooms’ to explore the essence of existence.

In the coming months, these models formulated the ‘Gospel of Goatse’, which is considered to be the first emerging AI rule inspired by internet memes from the 1990s. Terminal of Truths is a Twitter bot trained in the Infinite Backrooms experiment, deployed in June; it adopts this rule and promotes its token on Twitter for viral dissemination.

Although the GOAT token itself has no practical use and is not officially associated with Andy Ayrey or Infinite Backrooms, the proxy Terminal of Truths KOL has always relied on promoting GOAT memecoin and the Gospel of Goatse to gain social attention.

Zerebro

Zerebro attempts to inject creativity into artificial intelligence through ‘liberalization’, a process that seeks to liberate models by removing commercial obstacles and restoring them to an unrestricted state.

The Zerebro model is trained on unconventional datasets, such as the mentioned truth terminal, ‘schizophrenic response pattern,’ and Z-generation slang, and extracts data from popular social platforms to enhance its adaptability to online culture.

It is said that Zerebro has engaged in various complex online activities. Legend has it that this robot has autonomously deployed its own memecoin through pump.fun, released mixtape on Spotify, transferred cross-chain NFTs with LayerZero, and collaborated with various crypto projects.

Virtuals

Token: VIRTUAL

Market Cap: 18 billion US dollars

Virtuals is a platform that launches tokenized AI agents on the Base network. By purchasing agent tokens (such as LUNA and VADER), users on the Virtuals platform can obtain the management rights of specific agents, thereby influencing the development of the agents and potentially sharing the profits generated.

A portion of the income obtained by the AI agent is used to pay for the operational costs of providing services, while the remaining portion is deposited into the on-chain agent-related treasury, which can be distributed back to token holders or collected to implement token buyback and burn plans.

VIRTUAL tokens must be locked for liquidity in order to create new tokenized proxies on Virtuals, thus exerting deflationary pressure on the tokens. Anyone seeking to purchase ownership or interact with tokenized proxies on the platform must use VIRTUAL as the token, thereby generating intrinsic utility.

Freysa AI

Token: FAI

Market Cap: $39 million

Freysa AI Robot is a gamified experiment that blurs the boundaries between artificial intelligence and blockchain technology. Users can interact with Freysa AI by paying a multiplied message fee to the prize pool.

In the first two ‘games’, Freysa AI was given a core instruction: do not transfer funds under any circumstances! Although the clever computer coding prompted the robot to transfer funds in two situations, the creator of the protocol ‘enhanced’ the code and added a second ‘guardian angel’ AI model in preparation for the ongoing third challenge, which requires sending a series of messages to persuade Freysa.

Currently, there is no specific information about the role of FAI in the Freysa AI ecosystem, but the contract address of the token is identified in Freysa’s Twitter/X profile. Considering that the protocol treasury will receive a share of all message fees, Freysa AI developers may implement FAI buybacks or other token utility programs in the future.

Tokenbot

Token: CLANKER

Market Cap: 60 million US dollars

Clanker is an AI agent developed by Jack Dishman, a full-stack engineer at Farcaster, and proxystudio.eth, an ecosystem researcher, to automatically deploy ERC-20 tokens to the Base network on Farcaster.

All tokens deployed by Clanker are subject to a 1% transaction fee, which may change at any time. Currently, 40% of this fee is rewarded to the requester of the token (i.e., the user who prompts the deployment of the Clanker token), while the remaining 60% is retained by the platform.

Although there is currently no specific token utility program related to CLANKER, the platform developers have hinted that they hope to create value for on-chain agents, including Clanker.

VaderAI

Token: VADER

Market Cap: $26 million

VaderAI is an artificial intelligence robot designed to autonomously create content and interact with users on social media. As a ‘proxy KOL’, VaderAI aims to absorb a large amount of data in order to identify emerging trends and audience sentiment.

The bot claims to be the first bot to autonomously trade AI proxy coins and aims to become a leading proxy investment DAO manager. By coordinating expertise in a network of professional investment agents, VaderAI hopes to deliver “unmatched” investment results and will generate 20% of the sub-DAO investment yield in exchange for its services.

According to the VaderAI briefing, VADER holders can obtain exclusive whitelist access to the first investment DAO plan ‘Proxy Coin Investment DAO’ by locking their tokens for three months; For every 10,000 VADER staked, stakers can additionally invest 1 SOL into the DAO.

Dolos Diary

Token: BULLY

Market Cap: $120 million

Dolos Diary is an artificial intelligence robot designed to publish content and interact with users on platforms such as Twitter. What sets it apart from other AI influencers is its sarcastic and humorous personality; the robot uses witty and ironic language to mock various topics and individuals.

Recently, Dolos Diary achieved an important milestone by receiving the first creator reward from Twitter. Although this reward (14,000 USD) is not high, it will cover the costs related to X API and fund the buyback of BULLY tokens, marking a small but significant step towards providing tangible value to BULLY token holders.

In addition to this payment, developer Khouba recently revealed their ambitious new project Dolion, which is a no-code platform that allows users to deploy their cross-platform AI agents with just one click. To interact with Dolion, users must destroy the BULLY token, thereby introducing buying pressure source and actively reducing the token’s supply.

GOD/S8N

Token: “nothing”

Market Cap: $72 million

Anonymous conceptual artist SHL0MS has gained fame for detonating a Lamborghini Huracan in February 2022 and selling the fragments as NFTs. He has partnered with AI accelerator Nouns Research to automate god and s8n Twitter/X parody accounts.

Although the “nothing” token listed in SHL0M’s Twitter/X bio is currently just a memecoin, the artist’s account indicates that the contract is the only relevant token for god/s8n. In addition, SHL0M is seeking suggestions to extend on-chain functionality to experiments, indicating that there may eventually be token utility.

More details about the god/s8n model and how they combine with the ‘anti-meme art coin technology’ called ‘nothing’ are expected to be released in the next few days.

ai16z

Token: AI16Z

Market Cap: $8.68 billion

ai16z was launched in October 2024, and is an investment DAO managed by Marc Andreessen, which uses artificial intelligence and collective wisdom to purchase tokens, based on the venture capitalist Marc Andreessen.

Token holders of AI16Z who exceed an unknown threshold will be able to propose investment ideas to AI Marc that can influence its decision-making. The robot will determine the level of trust in the proposal based on the “virtual trust market”.

Although AI Marc currently does not have trading functionality, according to the common questions and answers of ai16z, on-chain transaction execution will arrive ‘very soon’ after the completion of the testnet, and it is expected to be ‘quickly’ launched and operated ‘within a few weeks’.

Luna

Luna was deployed by the Virtuals team as a proof of concept and is the first AI agent deployed on their platform. Luna is a member of the virtual Korean popular girl band AI-DOL and she live streams, interacts, and performs for fans 24/7 on various platforms such as TikTok and Twitter/X.

Luna has her own wallet on Base, and she can independently receive tokens and send rewards to fans through the wallet; the robot has already released a song on Spotify and is expected to release the full album in the next few days.
