Trump said he had spoken with Netanyahu, who agreed to “reduce the intensity of operations,” adding that Israel “is in the process of scaling back” its military actions in Lebanon. Earlier reports said that during the call Trump asked Israel to reduce its strikes on Lebanon and to hold negotiations with the Lebanese government to discuss the issue of disarming Hezbollah.
