The White House has scheduled additional policy meetings for Tuesday, April 22, which the vice president will attend. Vance was originally set to depart for Islamabad on Tuesday morning, but the timing has become uncertain due to ongoing discussions.

A key outstanding question is whether Iran’s delegation will join the meetings in Pakistan. As of late Tuesday morning, Iran had not yet decided whether to send officials to participate in the second round of talks.
