A man from Europe, who goes by the pseudonym 'Michael', finally managed to open his encrypted wallet 10 years later. There were approximately 43.6 bitcoins in the wallet that he had forgotten the password for.
Initially, two hackers, Joe & Bruno, attempted to hack into the wallet multiple times since 2013. These hackers tried to contact Michael to get the wallet password, and finally, the password was cracked in November 2023.
Michael also thanked Joe and Bruno and gave them some BTC. Michael was also fortunate that he forgot his password, because if he hadn't forgotten it, he would have certainly cleaned out all of his BTC in 2013.
