PANews reported on January 1st that James Butterfill, research director at encryption asset management company CoinShares, said on CNBC that he expects BTC to reach $80,000 or $150,000 by 2025, both of which are "likely". If Butterfill's predicted $80,000 price is realized, it would be a result of the failure of Trump's promised pro-encryption currency policy, "disappointment with and suspicion of Trump's proposed encryption policy could trigger a significant market adjustment." However, Butterfill expects a favorable regulatory environment in the United States next year to be the main support for BTC prices. (CNBC)
