Laut den Überwachungsdaten von ChainCatcher und Hyperinsight hat ein Wal am 13. Mai auf Hyperliquid eine 40-fach gehebelte Short-Position auf 100 BTC eröffnet (im Wert von etwa 8,07 Millionen US-Dollar). Der Einstiegspreis lag im Durchschnitt bei 80.958 US-Dollar pro BTC, wobei die Liquidationsmarke bei 82.209 US-Dollar liegt. Die Position hält derzeit nicht realisierte Gewinne von ungefähr 7%. Der Wal hat eine Stop-Loss-Order bei 81.150 US-Dollar platziert, um die gesamte Position auszusteigen.
