Shaw, Jinse Finance
Bitcoin struggled to advance last weekend, showing a consolidating downtrend. Early this morning, Bitcoin briefly fell below 68,000 USD, touching 67,360.1 USD at one point, down more than 3% in 24 hours; Ethereum briefly touched 2,025.75 USD early morning, down more than 4% in 24 hours.
Coinglass data shows that over the past 24 hours, the entire network liquidated 336 million USD, of which long positions liquidated 242 million USD and short positions liquidated 94.44 million USD, with longs being the main target. BTC liquidations were 98.93 million USD, ETH liquidations were 79.18 million USD.
Over the weekend, tensions in Iran escalated again. With the continued "substantial" blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, Israel's direct strikes on Iran's core energy facilities have intensified the shock to the global energy market. The turbulent situation and energy impact have further exacerbated volatility in major global financial assets.
