BitDelta Securities Financial Services received a Category 5 introducing broker licence from the UAE Capital Market Authority, formally granted on May 12, 2026, and announced on July 20. The approval completed a licensing process that began with an in-principle approval on May 4. The licence permits BitDelta Securities to introduce eligible retail and professional clients in the UAE to regulated international brokers offering foreign exchange, commodities, precious metals, indices, equities, bonds, exchange-traded funds, futures, options and spot-market products, but does not authorize the company to execute client trades, hold customer money, or provide unrestricted investment advice. The UAE Capital Market Authority, formerly known as the Securities and Commodities Authority, issued the licence under number 20200000439, establishing BitDelta's regulated client-acquisition presence in the UAE market.
The Dubai-based company was granted the Category 5 licence under number 20200000439. Industry reports indicate the licence was formally granted on May 12, 2026, although BitDelta announced the completion of the process on July 20. The approval allows BitDelta Securities to introduce eligible retail and professional clients in the UAE to regulated international brokers offering foreign exchange, commodities, precious metals, indices, equities, bonds, exchange-traded funds, futures, options and spot-market products.
The licence does not permit the company to execute client trades, hold or manage customer money, or provide unrestricted investment advice. BitDelta Securities will act as the local intermediary, while trading accounts, execution and custody will be provided by the regulated brokers to which clients are referred. The distinction limits the operational scope of the approval — BitDelta has gained a regulated client-acquisition and distribution presence in the UAE, rather than a full brokerage licence covering execution and custody.
The licence follows the in-principle approval announced on May 4. At that stage, BitDelta still had to meet the regulator's final capital, governance and operational requirements before it could begin regulated activities. The completion of those conditions converted the preliminary approval into a fully operational licence.
The company opened an office at Tamani Arts Offices in Dubai's Business Bay, where it plans to operate client onboarding, compliance, regulatory affairs and broker-partnership teams. BitDelta said the office would serve as its operational base for the UAE and wider Gulf region.
BitDelta's UAE expansion forms part of a broader push to build its presence across regulated and high-growth markets. In April, the group launched operations in India, targeting the country's growing base of digital-asset users. The company appointed local leadership and began meeting industry participants and other stakeholders as it developed its regional operation.
The group has also been expanding beyond its original digital-asset platform into equities, contracts for differences and listed derivatives. In June, BitDelta Pro signed a multi-year agreement with Australian financial technology provider Iress. Under that deal, BitDelta is adopting Iress products including ViewPoint, Iress Pro, IOS+, FIX connectivity and application programming interfaces as it adds equities and CFD trading capabilities. The Iress integration is intended to connect BitDelta's trading interfaces with execution, market-data and back-office systems. BitDelta's institutional offering also advertises access to platforms including MetaTrader 5, CQG and Iress Pro, covering currencies, equities, ETFs, commodities, futures, options and crypto CFDs.
The UAE entity is legally separate from the BitDelta digital-asset platform operated through Dextron S.A., a Panama-incorporated company. BitDelta's general terms identify Dextron as the operator of the broader BitDelta platform, while the newly licensed Dubai company is restricted to introductory financial services for UAE clients. BitDelta's derivative-product terms had previously stated that those services were not directed at UAE residents or citizens. The new Category 5 entity provides the group with a specific regulatory route for approaching clients in the country, although the local company still cannot directly provide the full range of trading functions available through other group entities.
The UAE has become a key expansion market for retail brokerage and trading infrastructure companies. A growing group of foreign exchange and CFD providers have obtained or pursued Category 5 approvals, which provide a lower-scope entry point for firms seeking to introduce clients to offshore or internationally regulated execution entities. Recent licence recipients and applicants have included Vantage, Pepperstone, XM, Eightcap, EC Markets, INFINOX, Finalto and other global brokerage brands, increasing competition for introducing and arranging business in the country.
