Chinese FM Wang Yi Holds Talks with Myanmar's Tint Mauk Swe on June 5

On June 5, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Myanmar's Foreign Minister Tint Mauk Swe in Beijing. Wang Yi reiterated China's commitment to non-interference in Myanmar's internal affairs and support for Myanmar's pursuit of a development path suited to its national conditions. He pledged Chinese support for Myanmar's efforts to advance domestic peace and reconciliation while safeguarding national sovereignty and security.

China aims to advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation with Myanmar, including post-earthquake reconstruction, people-to-people exchanges, trade, and investment. Both nations will accelerate key projects under the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, jointly combat transnational crimes including online gambling and telecommunications fraud, and maintain peace and stability along their shared border, according to state media Xinhua.
