Diesel Prices Surge Over 100% in Laos and Fiji Since February U.S.-Iran Conflict

According to Global Petrol Prices data, since the February outbreak of the U.S.-Iran conflict, diesel prices in Laos surged 149.7% and in Fiji rose 110.1%, becoming the most severely impacted nations. Major economies also recorded significant increases: the United States up 40.5%, the United Kingdom up 30.1%, China up 28.6%, and South Korea up 26.3%, as of June 1. Oil-producing nations including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Algeria saw no notable diesel price increases.

Diesel prices are closely tied to transportation, agriculture, manufacturing, and construction sectors.
