Ethereum Faces Potential Funding Crisis Within 3-9 Months, Says Former Foundation Official

According to The Block, Trent Van Epps, who previously headed core development funding at the Ethereum Foundation, warned that the ecosystem could face a funding crisis within 3 to 9 months. Van Epps stated that spending cuts and the end of the Customer Incentive Program (CIP) could lead to a deficit. He noted that maintaining the core development ecosystem costs approximately $30 million annually, and new institutions and funding mechanisms are needed to support the network.
