Iran Demands U.S. Ensure Israel Complies with Memorandum; Proposes 60-Day Grace Period on Hormuz Strait Tolls

According to Jin10, on June 19, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Hatibolzadeh stated that the U.S. must ensure Israel complies with the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the U.S. Hatibolzadeh said Iran is prepared to continue advancing the diplomatic process and will move forward step by step if the other side demonstrates equal commitment.

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Hatibolzadeh stated that Iran will continue providing navigation services in coordination with Oman and under international law. Within the 60-day period specified in the memorandum, Iran will not charge transit fees; thereafter, it will introduce a new shipping lane management mechanism to be submitted to regional countries.
