NFA Sanctions Marex Spectron for Allowing 14 Unregistered Brokers to Solicit U.S. Customers

According to the National Futures Association, the NFA has sanctioned Marex Spectron International Limited for allowing 14 unregistered brokers to solicit or accept orders from U.S. customers. The decision followed a 2024 examination that began in June, which identified the brokers—mostly based in the London office, with one in Dubai—who handled approximately 75 trades for 20 U.S. customers between February and April 2024. This represents the second similar violation; the firm was previously fined $250,000 in 2022 after a 2020 examination found 18 unregistered brokers engaging in the same conduct.
