Samsung, SK Hynix Demand 3–4% Price Cuts From Memory Substrate Suppliers in H2 2026

According to industry sources cited by Jin10, Samsung and SK Hynix have demanded memory substrate suppliers reverse a 3–4% price increase implemented in the first half of 2026. The South Korean chipmakers accepted the price hike due to rising raw material costs earlier this year, but are now seeking to restore prices to pre-increase levels as raw material price volatility has stabilized, according to the Korea Printed Circuit Board and Semiconductor Packaging Association (KPCA).
