Thailand Issues Arrest Warrant Against Chinese Businessman Wong Yik-shing Over Cryptocurrency Mining Money Laundering

According to BlockBeats, Thailand's Special Branch (DSI) issued an arrest warrant on June 28 against Chinese businessman Wong Yik-shing, accusing him of involvement in a criminal network that allegedly used illegal cryptocurrency mining to launder proceeds from fraud and online gambling operations.

Wong previously led the Thai-China Trade Association and is considered a key figure in the implicated Chinese investor group. The DSI statement indicated that Wong was previously charged with theft and computer crimes violations in November 2025, and is believed to have fled Thailand. Authorities are coordinating with international partners to locate him. Additionally, arrest warrants were issued against four unnamed Chinese nationals and four Myanmar nationals in connection with the same investigation.
