Analyst: Bitcoin has outperformed gold and silver over the past 10 years

According to author and analyst Adam Livingston, Bitcoin (BTC) has demonstrated remarkable outperformance compared to gold and silver since 2015. Specifically, BTC has recorded a growth of 27,701%, while silver only increased by 405% and gold by 283% over the same period.

Adam Livingston states: “Even if we exclude the first six years of Bitcoin, to respond to opinions that comparing timeframes is unfair, gold and silver still fall far short of this peak asset.”

Peter Schiff, known for his pro-gold stance and one of the most vocal critics of Bitcoin, has responded. He argues that the performance of these assets should be compared over the past four years rather than ten. “The times have changed. The era of Bitcoin is over,” Schiff asserts.

Unless the asset has a fixed supply,” Golliher explains.

He adds: “Currently, gold and silver sources that were unprofitable to mine last year are now becoming profitable due to rising market prices.”

The debate between precious metal investors and the Bitcoin community about which is the best long-term store of value remains unresolved, especially as gold and silver prices have surged historically, while Bitcoin stagnates and the US dollar has depreciated by 10% against other major currencies.

According to media host Ethan Ralph, the US dollar is on track for its worst year in a decade, with the US Dollar Index (DXY) falling nearly 10% in 2025.

Analyst Arthur Hayes states that the weakening dollar combined with the Federal Reserve’s inflationary monetary policy will serve as a positive catalyst, driving significant growth in scarce assets like gold, silver, and Bitcoin in the near future.

Research: 72% of Submarine Fiber Optic Cables Would Need to Fail Simultaneously to Significantly Impact Bitcoin Network

Latest research shows that the Bitcoin network has strong resilience against global submarine cable failures. Approximately 72% to 92% of submarine cables would need to fail simultaneously to cause more than 10% of Bitcoin nodes to go offline. Using the Tor network can enhance interference resistance, with 64% of nodes concealing their locations. Historical failure events have had minimal impact on Bitcoin prices, with resilience determined by the structure of submarine cables.
