FBI warns that North Korea's Kimsuky is launching targeted phishing attacks using malicious QR codes

Foresight News Report: The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) warns that North Korea’s cyberattack group Kimsuky is using malicious QR codes to launch targeted phishing attacks, targeting think tanks, academic institutions, and organizations related to diplomacy and international affairs. The attacks involve impersonating well-known figures in the field of foreign policy, embedding QR codes containing malicious links in emails to lure victims to switch from their computer to their mobile browser, thereby bypassing email security protections.
